What's happening in Portland
Portland was on the news as one of the most godless cities in America. But not for long. Every week our teams walk the streets downtown, and we have been seeing addicts set free, women walking out of the strip clubs, and gang members saved, cleaned up, and preaching on the same corners they used to run.
In just the last two months, over 200 people have received salvation on those streets. The problem is what happens next. We've invited many of them to our church across town, and then we never see them again. It's simply too far from where we met them.
So we're moving to where the harvest is. A building near Pioneer Square and PSU campus, steps from the busiest corner in the city, where new believers can be baptized, discipled, and sent back out, without ever leaving their neighborhood.
